| I'm pretty sure Notre Dame is approx 25-33% legacy kids |
This is probably true. I know of at least 2 who were rejected. Maybe the parents were not donors? |

Obviously no school can accept every legacy applicant. There are too many. |
| I recall looking at Notre Dame for our daughter and after you account for legacies, athletes, URMS and filthy rich, it's basically impossible to get in. |
| Marquette. DS goes there and had similar stats to your daughter. Both schools seem to attract a similar type of student - and DS says the academic opportunities and community aspect are second to none. |

Most of the similar options have already been listed, but maybe add Santa Clara or U of Portland to the list if she's willing to consider West Coast. Obviously totally different architecture, but similar feels in some respects.
For non-Catholic, maybe Wake Forest or Vanderbilt. |
Being a consistent, modest donor over the years doesn't help much if at all . . . so many of the applicants are legacies and we know many (and hear rumors/second hand of many more) whose kids even with good stats can't get in. If you're an alum and kid has high stats, it's a + vs. other high stats kids. I think you'd have to be a big time donor for it to make a big difference. |
| Christendom College. Actually Catholic. |
You could throw in University of Dallas/Benedictine (KS)/Steubenville (OH) - there are at least a dozen which are way more Catholic than ND. Of course you better be ready for no #NotMyPresident anti-Trump rallies - solely on the pro-life agenda. |
