Your credibility is lacking based on your lack of basis as well as your inability to catch your spelling error.

We need to know the answer to this before we can help. If it's what the next poster said about "Notre Dame or nothing," then we still need more information. About the DD, family, where she's been and what she might want to do with her future.

BC and Villanova will have the pretty campus that ND has - Holy Cross does not. They also have the school spirit - though nothing will be ND football.

I agree with the others that you have to identify what draws her. There are lots of Midwest colleges, Catholic colleges, football dominant colleges, pretty campus colleges, popular name colleges . . . What is the appeal to her? Though frankly if she’s been saying it since 6th grade, it’s likely the name only or some connection to someone that she wants to continue because I highly doubt she was matching interest to college major and school reputation at that age.

Around 15% of SMC students scored higher than 30 on the ACT. I don’t think it would be an academic fit for OP’s daughter.

Well get ready for nothing.

My son also has wanted to attend ND since middle school, but he also would be VERY happy at BC. He has an excellent chance of getting into BC, and even ND for that matter. He is also applying to Villanova and College of the Holy Cross (in Worcester), but has yet to visit these schools.

Safeties: Providence College, Fordham, Loyola Chicago

DS has a 35 ACT and 4.2 GPA.

It depends on which Holy Cross you are speaking of. Holy Cross in Worcester has a beautiful campus and an excellent reputation.

Why is it so important to go to a catholic school? Just curious.

That is the environment he seems to gravitate to and we are Catholic. However, he is also applying to secular schools. He attended public K-8 and Catholic HS.

NP. Catholic (Jesuit) high school was practically transformative for my son. He LOVED it. As a result, he only applied to catholic colleges.

I think "pretty campus" is a matter of taste. My opinion is that the College of the Holy Cross has a MUCH prettier campus than Villanova and most of BC's campus. There is one area near the BC old gothic library that is beautiful. but the dilapidated senior "temporary" housing in the mud is not very attractive.
