This is similar to our trip a couple of years ago. DS was 12. We All Loved Oregon. Definitely do mountain biking in Bend. Go to Crater Lake National Park, too. DS keeps saying, "Let's go back to Bend."

Here's a question for the Acadia folks - or those who have been to Acadia - is there an age that's too old? Like will tween or teens be bored? For some reason, I have it pigeonholed as a good trip for elementary ages.

And to respond to the OP, we are going to the Bahamas - spending some time on an out island and then a few days in Atlantis.

Nowhere. Baby is due September 3rd, so we are pretty much grounded. We might try to get grandparents to watch the two older ones and take a baby moon to somewhere close by.

I think it’s better for older kids. With teens you can do some of the better hikes. My whole family (0-75+) goes every few years. We all love it. The teens & young adults do the most exciting parts IMO.

We are new to the area and want to make a bit of a splash. Where is the in spot to take our family? Kids are 9 and 11. Great travelers up for fun.

I don’t think it’s too old for tween / teens. I think it is just also good for ES kids which is rarer.
