Okay, so it was at least 4. Not lying about it. Yes, when the neighborhood is so interconnected and everyone knows everyone, yes, people don't invite others to parties for this reason. It is about screwing being nice to the mom who was sleeping with a friend's husband. My friends see them out together with our kids and they get disgusted.

Are you talking about ... kids’ birthday parties? As in, some poor kids whose lives have already been upended through no fault of their own didn’t get invited to their friends’ Birthday parties? And this is supposed to be a punishment for the adults who don’t like these things anyway? I hope I’m misunderstanding!

The friends of the kids are absolutely invited to their birthday parties. But sometimes you invite non-friends so the parents don't feel like their kid was left out. These kids aren't friends with his AP's DD. A few people didn't care if she and my STBX felt left out. Her kid has plenty of other parties to go to. But it is noticible she isn't getting the pity invites.

I couldn't care less about what parties I'm invited to, just so you know. But if you want to keep obsessing about what I am feeling go right ahead.

You realize that this isn't the really psycho PP, right? This is someone who just told her friends that her DH had cheated and was living with the OW. Her giving that information is just a natural consequence to them of their immorality. Do the crime, do the time. Own your sh!t. Don't pretend that the betrayed wife is somehow deranged for not keeping your little secret.

Tubals can sometimes be reversed and there are other ways that medicine could help her to conceive....so don't be so sure that she's done having babies.

I had an boyfriend who cheated on me instead of just breaking up with me. I found out, we broke up and he started dating the woman with whom he'd cheated.

I stayed friends with one of his friends and one night we got drunk and kissed a bit. Afterward we emailed about it and were both like, "yeah, we probably shouldn't have done that. oh well." The ex actually hacked into his email, emailed us both and said "you two are disgusting." I guess he thought we did more than we did. I thought that was pretty rich given that he'd slept with another girl - who I knew - while we were dating.

I did like that he was pissed and jealous. He was insecure so I figure that was pretty good revenge, even though it was unintentional. Left to my own devices, he would never have found out about the kissing.

I agree that PP's revenge is over the top. However, what is with people on here assuming every remarriage is with "the love of his/her life." Like this is the same man that married his psycho ex. Is he suddenly a great judge of character? Don't most second marriages have almost a 70% divorce rate?

NP. It depends on how well you know the person. If this was all I knew about someone I wouldn't invite them or seek out a relationship with them. But maybe it would be different if we already had an established relationship.

As a teenager I smushed a giant piece of my chewed up bubble gum into the center-parted 90s hair of a kid who had harassed me throughout a showing of Forrest Gump, told him to enjoy his new haircut, and walked away.

I'm not really a vengeful person but it felt awesome at the time and I often wish I could do something similar to annoying people in movie theaters now. I thought someone might appreciate something other than an anecdote about grown adults trying to exact revenge on the parents of their children.
