I just peeked at the methodology of the Quinnipiac poll, and I think this is an outlier due to sampling bias.

PARTY IDENTIFICATION QUESTION WORDING - Generally speaking, do you consider yourself a
Republican, a Democrat, an Independent, or what?
LIKELY VOTERS
PARTY IDENTIFICATION
Republican 24%
Democrat 37
Independent 31
Other/DK/NA 7

Based on people I know personally, the more strenuously someone objects to the deplorable label, the more overtly racist they are.

Ok, so Northam wins by 9.

Just following the R playbook that goes back to Willie Horton or before (Southern Strategy)

A playbook that was vigorously condemned. As this ad should be—by any rational person.

Okay, go ahead and condemn the Latino Victory Fund. Northam had nothing to do with the ad.

Never mind. Just read that he is defending the ad.
So, while HE may not have made the ad, he still supports it.
Disgusting. And, this is who you want leading the Commonwealth?

"A young Latino boy runs for his life from a speeding black pickup with a Tea-Party license plate, a Confederate Flag flapping in the wind, and a faceless white man behind the wheel. Each time the truck guns its engine, the boy runs past another minority who sprint along in terror. Eventually they’re trapped in an alley without an exit. The kids are as good as dead because obviously being Republican means being bloodthirsty."

Considering we all saw what happened in Charlottesville -- and that's basically aligned with Republican ideology these days -- I'd say the ad sounds accurate.

You are FOS and you know it.

I know what I saw. You can gaslight all you want, but anyone who supports Trump and Gillespie at this point is a racist. 100%. Own it. Stop crying like a little bitch when it's pointed out to others. You sound like one of those Nazis upset that they got fired from their jobs -- they got all confused and thought they were a victim of something.

I wish I could dox you right here, right now.

Don't be an idiot. If you can't distinguish the material difference between Gillespie and Trump, you shouldn't be permitted to vote.

Hmm. I think that, as a Republican, at this particular point in time, you'd want to be very cautious with the "if you don't condemn something reprehensible, you are deemed to support it, and are therefore disgusting" like of thinking. Law of unintended consequences, and all that.

NP. There is effectively no difference, just as there is effectively no difference between Congressional Republicans and Trump. They all support his unprincipled positions, unqualified appointments, and trampling of our legal and moral norms. They are all complicit. I have never been a registered Democrat and have voted for both Rs and Ds in the past, but after watching the Republican party degrade itself over the past few years, I will never consider voting for a Republican for any position, no matter how minor, again.

Just touting the common liberal line that if you don’t condemn it, you are complicit.

And, Northam DID defend it. It sounds like support to me.

The Northam campaign defended the ad and accused Gillespie of being the candidate attempting to sew division in the race.
"Independent groups are denouncing Ed Gillespie because he has run the most divisive, fear-mongering campaign in modern history. It is not shocking that communities of color are scared of what his Trump-like policy positions mean for them," Northam's press secretary Ofirah Yheskel said in a statement.

Absolutely reprehensible. Just when I think liberals can't go any lower, they prove me wrong.

No one does "I'm such a victim" better than a right-winger. Go back to your safe space, you snowflake.

+1

Democrats perfected the art of victimology a long time ago. It’s part of the party’s core values.

Projecting again. Just like your good buddy, Trump.
