All innate sexual differences between men and women become fetishized. It’s the reason men with low voices are considered sexy, women with large breasts and large hips are considered sex, men with strong muscles are considered sexy, etc

Since there is a height difference, on average, of about 5 inches between men and women, in most societies, that’s also fetishized. Hence men being turned on by short women and women being turned on by tall men.

I don't know if I would call it a fetish- more like a preference. The same way people prefer pretty faces, or small/large breasts, etc

Short and tiny is definitely hot, particularly if they don't think they are hot. Short and heavy is not attractive but if they are a really great person, maybe. Short and average with a good personality is attractive. It also depends on whether or not they are good in bed, bad in bed looks don't matter.

Go over to r/tall on reddit. There's routinely posts from tall women bemoaning how short women take all the men, and how no tall guy wants them.

It actually is tough. I think tall women face a different version of the "discrimination" that short men face

DH, is that you? Same for my DH.

DH told me it's the total package, not the height. When we started dating, I did say something negative about our height difference, and he said it didn't bother him at all.

The really short ones are a lot more likely to get/look heavy in the middle-aged years.

If the height difference is too big, 69 is difficult/impossible with me on top (woman). But that seems to be the only downside.
