4.93 and I never tip. |
4.79 - I use Uber at least 10x a week and have never tipped. |
4.8 - I never tip and tend to not engage in conversation... |
5 and I never tip. |
I have a 5 rating, but I've only taken Uber about 6 times total (and I don't tip). I agree that I would probably be more likely to tip when you can do it via the app. |
4.8 - I never tip and I engage in very little conversation. |
4.87. Never tip. |
4.92. I want a 5. I don't know what I did! |
4.65. I never tip with Uber, as I never have small bills on me. Cash is dead. |
4.63. I'm guessing it's because I'm not chatty and/or I don't tip. I'm always waiting outside, I don't bring food or drinks in the car or make a mess, and I don't complain about the route, air, etc. But I'm quiet and don't tip.
I don't really care. I think it's ridiculous that uber even lets drivers rate paying customers. Short of riders who are abusive to drivers, I think it's poor form to rate and judge your customers. |
I'm the poster above you, I'm the same as well (quiet, don't tip). I have a 4.65. I also think it's absurd to rate customers. If there's an issue with the customer, the driver should REPORT them - whether that's for smoking, eating food, being disrespectful, or trying to bring too many people in the car. I've had issues with Uber drivers at DCA airport and a few other locations when they cancel my ride. I think they may be able to rate you poorly in those instances. In a few of those cases, Uber tried to charge me a cancellation fee. |
4.8. I always tip and am always on time.
My rating dropped down to a 4.6 or something like that after one incident in Miami where the driver called me for pickup, did not seem to speak English, and wanted me to walk two blocks from my hotel to meet him. I had a couple of bad experiences with Uber in Miami that same trip. |
Drivers cannot rate you when you/they cancel a trip and vice-versa. |
4.72. I don't tip unless it is something out of the ordinary.
I work on a one way street and my office is on the left hand side. To get to home you need to turn left. I am not crossing to the right hand side and then having to got 3 blocks out of the way to get to the same place we would be if the driver just pulled up on the right side of the street. Seems reasonable to be but I know some drivers aren't happy when I won't cross 3 lanes of traffic to get to them. Oh well. I also am not a fan of the drivers who want me to walk to them. |
4.81 - never tip. |
