What is your uber rating?

4.85
I never tip and don't intend to ever tip.
I always rank the driver a 5--don't want them to lose their ability to drive and have never had anyone be grossly negligent.

It's 5. I only tip about half the time with Uber.

I am a 4.89

Unless you have used Uber less than 5 times, maybe less than 3 times, there is ZERO, absolutely ZERO percent chance than anybody here is a 5. Doesn't work that way.

4.68

Have a feeling it is that low due to not putting up with ridiculous driver (them: I am in the alley; me: please come around to the front of the building, etc.)

I don't even see a rating?? Where is it?

4.84.

I tip sometimes, usually just on longer rides to the airport. I'm actually a little surprised it's that high because I've definitely had a few times where the driver couldn't find me (I feel like it always happens on Capitol Hill, and usually in bad weather).

5 stars. I use Uber at least twice a week but sometimes as many as four or five times if I have a week heavy with meetings. I always tip at least $2-3 if it's a short <$10 trip. Most I've ever tipped was $20 on a $22 trip because it was 110 heat index in DC and I was getting in his ice cold car very sweaty with two sweaty French tourists I'd been showing around town for work purposes.

My personal pet peeve is when I get in an Uber and they don't use the a/c (or it's broken or 'broken') on a hot day. I'd like to know that before you accept my ride, kthanks. It's not like you ever get to go fast enough in downtown DC to get a breeze blowing.

I HATE this. It's so unprofessional, but I guess the point of Uber is that they are not professional drivers. I took a long Uber last weekend (Capitol Hill to Van Ness) and literally the guy almost go into 4 accidents due to erratic driving. But my biggest pet peeve is when they literally refuse to drive to the address that you ENTERED INTO THE APP. Yesterday I had a guy waiting around the corner. I could see him, but I refused to walk over (because that would put us in the wrong direction where we were headed, resulting in either a longer trip due to going out of the way, or having to put up wit their horrible driving antics as they try to do a U turn in a busy intersection.) He acted put upon because I made him drive to the actual address where I was supposed to be picked up.

My second biggest pet peeve is that drivers don't bother to pull over safely to the side of the road when dropping off or picking up. Literally they stop in the middle of the road, which is unsafe and blocks traffic.

Third pet peeve is them taking off before I have my 5 year old strapped in to the seatbelt. To stop that I leave the door open while I am buckling him in.

It's actually gotten to the point where I think Uber is affirmatively unsafe and am going to switch to an app that hails taxis (I hear there are a couple of them). I typically take Uber 1-2x week with my child and don't think it's safe anymore.

COMPLETELY agree on points 1 and 2! It's like, no, I'm NOT going to cross a busy intersection without stoplights; it wouldn't kill you to meet me where I am.

I've also been getting a number of drivers who LOVE to lecture you. I had one guy tell me that "you made me wait" when it was raining and I ran from the office lobby outside as soon as he pulled up. "But you're nice," he went on. "You said 'hello' and 'how are you,' and if you didn't, I wouldn't have taken your route and made you go in circles." One guy was PISSED that I had the audacity to cancel on him (he was taking forever), but I got him again when I ordered the car after a few minutes. Then there are the people who play weird cult / religious CDs in the car ...

Was 5 for a long time but went down after a recent string of uber eats orders. Not sure why. I too am always outside waiting and always tip.

Also, I usually have my baby with me and every driver has been kind about waiting for me to strap her carseat in. Once she screamed the entire 10 min trip and the driver didn't mind and offered to help me unload everything (I declined, not her job!). Still had a five after that incident.

Had a 4.95; I use Uber 3-4 times per month in DC and never tip, never had a problem.

Went to Charleston, SC for a work trip and saw my rating drop little by little after each Uber trip I took down to a 4.6

I think they really must expect tips there. They were far more friendly than DC drivers, but I guess it's all just a show to get a few bucks.

More than likely you weren't friendly enough. A little to DC I bet.

I did have to cancel once, but it was outside the fee window.

I spent 5 years living in Charleston, so I can talk about sweet tea with the best of them, but maybe I have become too DC.
