I know for me, it was hard to respond without projecting... my dad was a dick during his divorce. My mom was shrill and needy. Neither made boundaries easy.

OP, I would suggest you talk to a counsellor to work through your own feelings. Your father should make the decision that is right for him.

You are getting a lot of sexist responses from people who don't respect men or treat them well or see tem as people deserving equality with women when it comes to relationships and their personal lives. Don't let these jaded sexist posts influence your thinking.
