Agree... this look is cringe worthy. But I like that Michelle is an equal partner in her marriage while Melania is not.

Try to stay on topic. Check your whereabouts. You're in the Beauty & Fashion forum, not Politics. We're not talking about the Obama's marriage nor the Trumps' marriage. Start a new topic if you want to discuss your views on their marriage equality, or lack thereof.

She's a private citizen now, so stop.

She's always going to be black. I'm sorry that bothers you. But she's going to be black every day of the rest of her life, so you may as well get over it.

See this is why the world hates liberals. Because no one said a single thing about being black. There isn't one word or insinuation that we think the outfit sucks because she's black. And yes, I think Michelle is hideously ugly. Not because she's black. Because she looks like a dude. I think many black women are beautiful. Jill Scott, Queen Latifah, Allyson Felix, Kerry Washington, Naomi Campbell, Alek Wek. The list goes on. I also think there are ugly, manly looking white women.

Stop making everything about race. Some people are just ugly no matter what their color.

Honest question. Why do you assume PPP is a liberal?

BecUse she immediately turned any attack on appearance into an attack on minority race. Conservatives do not do that.

Conservatives are so color blind.

Obama looks beautiful in that outfit. And I also really liked the pink blouse with one shoulder from a different day. Both blouses look pretty and feminine on her and look amazing with her skin tone.

Agree, like both outfits and so much more fun than jcrew.

Definitely not Italy church appropriate and really not flattering on her or anyone, for that matter. She usually looks so put together and fabulous - definitely not one of my favorite looks for sure.

Do you have citations to these "rules?"

Yes. Here ya go:

The photo caught a wardrobe mishap with the blouse. As a PP said, she probably had a shawl along for the church. Am not a fan of the blouse, but I am surprised no one has commented on the pants. They are doing her absolutely no favors. The outfit would have been hugely better with more figure flattering pants or a flowy skirt.

Strap slipped, cameras caught it, petty people posted it to criticize.

Shocking.

It's not her best outfit but meh, nothing awful. I trust that she wore a shawl inside the church.

Can we talk about his casual clothes though? I thought he started to better with the first post-presidency jeans/leather jacket outfit but now he is back to his not-quite suit pants, basic button down and black suede shoes in the heat? Let's focus on getting him into something more stylish for casual wear.

Agree! I mentioned that the whole outfit was not figure flattering and I had the pants in mind, for sure. I know she has a nicer figure than this entire outfit would suggest. She's usually quite stylish and dresses for her figure, so this was out of character. Even if this was a quick wardrobe malfunction, I would think this top would cause a nonstop series of these. I could not be comfortable wearing a blouse that was literally hanging on by a thread!

Agree about both the pants and the blouse. One of the first rules for dressing when you are in the public eye should be don't wear something prone to wardrobe malfunction.

When I saw this photo, I assumed her sleeve had slipped off on one side. It's supposed to be like that? She's usually a great dresser and probably regretted it...

It's ugly but I don't care about her.
