Are you OK with cross burning too? |
Hamilton would disagree. |
Yep. Even if that's not your view, you will be seen that way. Do you want to be lumped in with them? |
No, the amount of government control decided by the people, who refresh their legislature and executive branches every few years, is the foundation of the constitution. |
Since I am neither black not Mexican, I am not concerned that the trashy members of those groups may reflect poorly on me. However, I don't want people assuming that white trash behavior, culture, and mores are accepted or approved by other white people. |
| I see it as a gun rights statement. |
| I see a lot of Latinos/as with these plates. |
| This thread makes me realize I need one. The history of the flag is interesting and I like the less government implications. Plus when you put judgment aside you may see the flag and people who fly it don't always think/act as you preemptively think they will. Proud to be an American! |

That raises an interesting question for the many folks in this thread who responded with negative impressions of these license plates:
- does the U.S. flag have a negative connotation? What is your perception of a person who displays a U.S. flag on their property or vehicle? |
The Confederate flag is not revered. It's treason. People who display it are traitors to the country. |
I'll tolerate anything but your intolerance. |
Alt right??? What a joke. This is some BS small group of people. It's been so blown out of proportion by the media. Liberals are always looking for a way to demonize people. |
| Isn't that the U.S. Coast Guard phrase? |
This confederate flag is flown in Virginia, but many people don't realize it a Confederate flag. Even the city of Alexandria flew it until recently. |
|
That Confederate flag is the historical flag which is not currently adopted by racists.
Most people I know who use the tea party flag use it as a substitute for the Confederate battle flag. Most also hate, or think they "hate," any form of government. |
