Childish men are to blame for women having kids late in life

I'm think the opposite- it's a horrible time to be a man. Look at all the anti men marches, rants, and raves. I worry more about my son's future than I do my son's.

When did men become such cry babies? ("MOM! The girls are saying mean things about me!")

It's the title of the article OP linked to.

this, This, a hundred times, THIS!

This thread title encapsulates completely the entire essence of why men don't like women anymore.

In 20 years, when realistic, animatronic sex-robots are going to be available for the cost of a motorcycle, women are going to find themselves very, very irrelevant

Also, men prize different qualities in women than women prize in men. An average looking woman with an ivy league education is not the equal of an average looking man with an ivy education. A female preschool [vimeo]teacher with a hot body has far more dating options than the hot bodied male preschool teacher. Same doesn't mean equal

It all depends on her background. A preschool teacher from a good family and who is presentable to coworkers is great. One from a working class family will have a hard time getting high flying Ivy men to the altar.

It worked for Princess Diana.

I agree that a man from an upper-middle class (UMC) background, with a college degree, is unlikely to marry a poor women who didn't graduate from high school. But he might marry a women from a working/lower middle class (LMC) woman who didn't finish college. On the other hand, women from UMC backgrounds strongly prefer other men from UMC backgrounds (and up).

"Strongly prefer", "deserve": who cares. What can you actually make happen?

This is what I'm seeing more and more. Women want the family without a man. If they truly want kids it's going to be with some random guy, a bf, or the sperm bank. No custody battles, no exes bothering them, no ex in laws and all the other horrible dilemmas people get themselves into.

I don't see anything wrong with it. It's all about personal choices.

I know someone like this. Ivy League and in her 30s. She got knocked up by some random flavor of the week. But now the tax payer is helping to foot the bill because she thinks "all moms have a right to be a SAHM."

Men typically like demure women of all backgrounds so don't fool yourself. My cousin married a waitress. Married 25 years, he graduated from George town. Has his own law firm. Brother married a woman whose degree was in plants. She doesn't work, watches the horses and chickens all day. He owns over 200 acres in Santa Ynez. Other rich cousins married demure women some with degrees some without. All still happily married.
Many of you need to get out of DC, it's a big world where many do not share your cookie cutter views...thankfully.

Where does the sperm come from?

The same place child support will come from later on.

Women (feminists) are reaping what they sowed. When men become expendable in a society, society suffers.

The problem is they are making themselves expendable by not being good partners.

As a young woman, this is exactly what I want. With the way custody has been moving, it's an insane risk to both yourself and your kids to marry a man, or even have him on the birth certificate. Even in cases of extreme abuse, it is usually assumed the woman has caused "parental alienation syndrome" (with her magical mind control powers, presumably) and custody is split 50-50. Almost all abuse is carried out by men. So if you happen to make the mistake of marrying a guy who later turns out to be a child abuser, in whatever form, you are screwed, and, more importantly, your kids are screwed.

Men today are just uneccessary and more of a burden than anything else, with their lack of willingness to do equal housework and childcare. I know many women my own age who feel the same way.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the future- whether men will start putting in more effort in order to secure their genetic future. Too late for this generation, though.

No the PP, but what's wrong with this response?

Because you're robbing your child of having a father? B/c every single study done shows children do better in 2-parent households? Especially boys.

So let me get this straight. If I can provide a loving stable home for a child, I should not have one because the one thing I don't have is a partner? It would be better in your eyes to settle for a man, any man, then embark on this journey by myself? And when the marriage goes south, because I settled, it's better that the children live through divorce? Or maybe you think that I should have to have to suck it up and endure the marriage I settled for because I wanted children? Then again, what if he leaves against my wishes--you know because you can't control if someone wants to be in a relationship.

I'm not trying to upset you, but if you cannot find a decent partner who wants to live his/her life with you, then there is something wrong with you.

And so no, you should not procreate and you should also not burden your child with your mental illness/personality disorder, esp. since will be no other co-parent they can turn to when you get too cray
.

This

Well, since it seems to be the women who are the ones rejecting the men, then I guess it's men who should not be procreating. Women have the all clear.

Can't come soon enough. How lovely to be left alone by the majority of men, who seem utterly useless under almost every study and outmatched by women across the board

So women are doing all the childcare but their kids (boys) are growing up to be unnecessary burdens on women. Hmmm. What are these women teaching their boys?

Stop having sex before marriage as a gender then watch men 'man up'
