Seriously, what is the downside?

We have been monogamous up until recently, when I gave him permission to have sex with men as long as it's safe sex. Like the PPs, he likes (occasional) sex with men but fell in love with me, the woman.

FWIW, he's met a LOT of apparently 'straight' married guys, incl. religious guys, who are looking for the same thing - a bit of man on the side. We're unusual in that we are open about it, they are often jealous because their wives don't know and can't know.

It's way more common than people want to believe.

Do you get to have sex outside the marriage?

Yes, if I want to.

So, you could in theory? But, you don't want to. Then to listen to your husband's travails of sleeping with married men (who don't have permission). This unbalance and the ethics of it truly doesn't upset you in any way?

Do you get equal pay as your partner and split the housework 50/50?

it varies - sometimes he earns more, sometimes I do. I have the steady paycheck and the benefits right now. He does a lot of the mental labour around running a house too.

PP here - what it is confirming for me, a non-religious person, is that religion has limited ability to change people's behaviour vis a vis sex. So instead people are dishonest to their loved ones and do it anyway.
