Things you judge about people's wedding registries

LOL! I would never write that on a registry, but I UNDERSTAND!

Well, the point of a registry is that you buy what they have picked out. Who on earth would pick something different? It doesn't get noted on the registry as a substitute. You have to select the items there, from that store for the system to work...

They don't want/need anything else. Get it?

huh? that's my #1 most used kitchen tool. And my mom's is 40 years old and still going strong.

No kidding. Here's what I judge: people who are so clueless and miserable as to think of anything to criticize a happy couple. OP, get over yourself. You had your day. And if you didn't, - you have absolutely no right to judge.

We entertain a LOT, with a LOT of people. At least twice a month we have 25-30 people over.

People with no friends don't get this

Not your business to figure out.

MYOB. Better yet, don't even show up at the wedding. Do everyone a favor.

This person definitely had a tacky registry.

When people say they don't judge, people like you need to believe that the only reason they say this that they're guilty of the same crime. I'm a new poster, I did not have a registry at my wedding, and I still do not care or judge other people for what they put on their lists. It's so silly

It is immature, and it just proves you have big unresolved issues (for all we know, you could have had a disastrous wedding of your own, and you don't want anyone else to enjoy theirs). Don't take your issues out on the new bride and groom. People who criticize registries are the same types who are looking to call a new bride "bridezilla". Brides don't do this every day, give them a break. And for those who don't marry right out of their parents house (most people nowadays, really) you shouldn't seem shocked if there are some big ticket items on the registry. Nothing is stopping you from staying home or giving money or going in on a registry gift with family members. It is not such a BFD.

people who buy paella pans when they have never had paella, made paella, been to spain, or expressed any interest in paella

I use mine almost every day and I got married 16 years ago. Most of the rest of the stuff I got is unused or trashed.

"What am i going to do with all this paella????"

I don't judge. I just buy something and let it go.

Although, I tried to be nice to a family member and buy her a KitchenAid mixer off registry, since she didn't do a registry. She acted like I had lost my mind and let me know she was taking it back.

Well, I guess I do judge.... people who don't bother to have registries and then complain.

I didn't register for one because I knew my DH's grandmother would give us one (her standard gift to every grand child getting married) 17 years later it is the single most used item that we were given. I use it at leat 4 days a week. Everyone is different. Your space sucks is my most beloved item.

My MIL! And of course we ended up with duplicate items because people actually bought the stuff from the registry!

My MIL gave the bread machine we received to my mom to return and packed up their old one for us instead. Uh, no.
