It's so silly[/quote] +1 It is immature, and it just proves you have big unresolved issues (for all we know, you could have had a disastrous wedding of your own, and you don't want anyone else to enjoy theirs). Don't take your issues out on the new bride and groom. People who criticize registries are the same types who are looking to call a new bride "bridezilla". Brides don't do this every day, give them a break. And for those who don't marry right out of their parents house (most people nowadays, really) you shouldn't seem shocked if there are some big ticket items on the registry. Nothing is stopping you from staying home or giving money or going in on a registry gift with family members. It is not such a BFD. [/quote]
