ILs and tooth fairy

Get a life!

My parents were taking care of my 15 month old for four days when he took his first real steps. I was initially disappointed that I hadn't been there to see it but the excitement and joy my parents experienced was wonderful. You can't plan when these events take place so just relax. For putting up with a 15 month old for 4 days my parents deserved it! My DH and I were on a romantic getaway so I have no reason to be upset.

How does a MIL not know that a lost tooth is all about the mother's feelings? Is she clueless? With a little plastic cement she could have put that tooth back in the child's mouth so that mom's dreams could come true. But that's just my opinion.

100% this.

OP, teeth don't just fall out out of nowhere. It was loose for a long time. If you didn't discuss this with your in laws, that's on you.

You should be glad your MIL did it for him.
You can take the next tooth and you can be the first tooth fairy for kid #2.
