And Trump *really* does care about having celebrity endorsements. Why do you think he met with Kanye? RNC/Trump was so desparate for celeb endorsements they got Chachi -- a z rated celeb -- to speak at the RNC convention. If they didn't care about celeb endorsements, why did they ask a no-nothing celeb to speak there? Is Scott Baio a politically active Republican? I lived in CA for 40 yrs, almost 30 yrs of that in LA, and never heard of Baio being politially active. He is however, known for being racist and a player.

Sadly, if its this much of a bust already its a missed economic opportunity for the service industry in this area. DC incurs huge costs to manage large events and have the necessary security in place. They don't get a refund if the economic benefit doesn't come along because the event is a bust.
