Will the inauguration be a bust?

Curious as to whether this will be a bust or not. Trump's unpopularity will keep many people home. The cold weather isn't going to help for people who would come out to see it regardless of who was up there. Trump's thank you rallies have had low turn out even in moderate weather so his base may be less interested as well.

I'm curious about the same thing, OP. I wasn't in DC for the Bush inaugurations but went to both of Obama's. Of course the weather was freezing in 2009 so that isn't a good excuse for Trump supporters not to turn out. Considering how few supporters he has in the DMV, I agree that there is a decent chance it will be a bust. Much like his inauguration concert talent (or lack thereof).

Won't be a bust from a media perspective. Going to be cameras galore out there not just from the mainstream media but Donald's unpopularity coupled with his unpredictability combined with the added entertainment of inevitable protestors and wack jobs is going to have gossip and tabloid syndicates out en masse as well. The crowds of actual people may be slight but the journalists will be all over the place covering the event waiting to jump on whatever crazy crap he says or someone does.

I might watch just to see if something major happens. Then when he speaks, I will turn the tv off because I can't stand listening to him talk, and it's not just the content of what he says but how he says it, his voice, and the way he looks when he's talking. I just find him repulsive to watch and listen to.

I read the comments on his facebook page and the VAST majority are saying that they do not have the money or are to sick to attend but will be watching on TV and are praying for him However, it seems that the majority of hotels in town seem to be totally booked.

I recall during obamas' many people were renting out their homes, I am sure there is a lot less of that this year.

I would never rent out my home to a Trump supporter so he could come support Trump. So I'm sure you're right.
