Why are so many people suddenly talking on speakerphone in public places?

Either way, I'm on calls a lot. I try to minimize, but can't at times.

Sorry if I bother you, just trying to pay the bills and pick up OJ at the grocery store.

Get a bluetooth, they are cheap.

Use a computer to pay your bills.

Speakerphone in the workplace is unprofessional, and immature, unless you are on a conference all.

This happens ALL.THE.TIME in the waiting room at my kids dance school. People talking on the phone loudly for a long time (not just a quick convo) and/or letting their other kids watch phone/ipad videos at full volume.

WHAT THE HELL PEOPLE! Have some awareness of those around you. This isn't your living room!

Go to the Apple store, they will fix it for free.

Actually it's stuck on headphone mode, not microphone. Headphone jack hardware thinks there are always headphones plugged into my phone.

I am pretty sure it's water damage and not fixable.

I'm not paying bills at the grocery store. Sometimes I have late work calls and need to grab some essentials before dinner.

I know it's rude, but I'm in a pinch. I keep the volume low and self check out.

People who use speakerphone in public are the same ones who say "I will respond to your call at my earliest convenience."

They are clueless and there is no helping them. Just ignore and move on with your day, because they ain't never gonna change.

There was a grandma waiting for her luggage at DCA who decided that was the right time to Facetime with the grandchildren. OMG. STFU!

2nd comment, and the race card is played, Why? What exactly is your point of saying that it is usually African American women? Serious question.

This woman did it on the stair stepper next to me at the gym. I put my arms in the air so she could get a nice whiff of my sweaty armpits. It's so rude and inconsiderate to do that and no one cares about your personal drama. I find that's usually what these speaker phone conversations are about.

No they won't unless it's still under warranty, and even then not "intentional" damage unless you have AppleCare +

sure sometimes they will be nice and do it pro bono, but usually they do not.

You are rude. If we want to talk on speaker, it is our right to do so. We don't tie you down and make you stay and listen to the conversation. You don't like it, you have to legs to walk away with. With all the things wrong with the world today, THIS is your stressor? Really? Get over yourself and get a life snowflakes!!

Get over yourself snowflake. With everything wrong in this world and you are upset because I am multitasking via speakerphone. Two words, walk away...

Face it, everyone wants to be Captain Kirk.

Awesome.

I’ve always wanted to add my two cents to a public speaker phone conversation. “Yeah! And another thing!”
