Are pajamas a good Christmas gift?

Anonymous
Not a bad idea at all,my husband actually told me one time that he would like house slippers/Moccasins, and since I remembered I bought him a matching pijama set too, although its not Christmas themed, so that he can wear them anytime!

Only if they are a luxury brand, IMO.

I don't want a $25 set from Target.

If you need teen girl PJ ideas, Roller Rabbit is all the rage.

If looking for a family gift, what about a gift card for an experience? An escape room, axe throwing, smash/rage room, movie + their favorite restaurant, etc.

I would rather receive an experience gift card than a bunch of junk that I need to find a place for tote off to donate.

Pjs are an excellent gift!

On the other hand, after years of obliviously buying our kids PJ's as part of their Christmas presents, DS "preempted" me one year when he was 17 and revealed that he stopped wearing clothing to bed when he was 12 but didn't have the heart to tell me each Christmas morning when he opened the gift. If I didn't know that about my own son, you may want come up with a different gift idea for people you only see a few times a year.

Yes I agree. Good point.

My kids love getting pjs, even now as adults. It is that time of the year they get cozy and holiday pajamas. I like it too. I would not buy it for SIL, but maybe for FIL, depends on a person and how close you are.

PJs are a decent gift for female relatives or super-close friends, but would seem like an odd and unappreciated choice for a male cousin and his teen son. Too much variation in size and sleepwear preference.
Go with a family gift like a board game or fancy food basket, or individual gifts like water bottles.

I also appreciate warm slippers.

Slippers last for many years. I do not need them most of the time.

God no unless someone specifically asks for them OP. Your question triggered me. When I was a kid, we would get socks and PJs because we had 8 kids in the family. We hated Christmas because we knew it would be disappointing. Think harder and more creatively.

Loungewear is better
