That's it, I don't give a Sh#t about non-educated whites

Why do voters in the red states think Trump is going to solve all of their problems? They already have Republican mayors, governors, state legislatures, congressmen and senators and yet, things are still bad for them. If they really want change, why not enact it on the local level? Why do they think Trump will change anything? I see no explanation for it beyond being brainwashed by Fox News and the Alt Right and not having the brain power to really think about their lot.

Garrison Keillor has said it best:

We liberal elitists are now completely in the clear. The government is in Republican hands. Let them deal with him. Democrats can spend four years raising heirloom tomatoes, meditating, reading Jane Austen, traveling around the country, tasting artisan beers, and let the Republicans build the wall and carry on the trade war with China and deport the undocumented and deal with opioids and we Democrats can go for a long brisk walk and smell the roses.

I will enjoy my tax cuts under Trump and if none of those people are better off in 4 years. Not my problem.

Yes. And if you all could just continue to do that. Take yourselves out of the "trying to manage government" game completely. You aren't cut out for it.

Enjoy your artisan beers and leave the real issues for the big kids. The country will be grateful.

Hell, if the "liberal elites" didn't rig the whole primary for Hillary, I'd bet money Trump wouldn't be president-elect.

It might genuinely be time for them to step aside. If they can bare to relinquish some of their money and power.

It is true. We tried to be good. We tried to help them. Now, let's just enjoy how fabulously wealthy we will be with all those tax cuts, have great meals, enjoy the arts, and hang out in trendy cafes.

I am a big supporter of ACA or at least keeping it and fixing the issues. I have been paying 30 to 33% in taxes for the past 10 yrs which has been supporting many of our veterans, schools, some of the Trump supporters.

Now, I'll enjoy my tax cuts and lower healthcare premiums. I will spend my money on vacations overseas. I will do what Trump supporters have been asking for - let Trump's government deal with it all.

You know, you can do something to help the poor regardless of which party is in the WH. Why don't you start now?

Exactly. I'm a little confused.

How do these people not realize there are lots of ways to help the less fortunate? You don't have to run them all by the president.

Despicable thread. Imagine if the title was "That's it, I don't give a f**k about non=educated whites". It would be deemed racist and immediately deleted, as it should be!

Ha! If this thread was titled, "That's It, I don't give a sh*t about non educated African Americans" it would be deleted immediately as racist.

The truth is this election was never about helping the poor. Certainly not the rural, white poor, with their meth issues and unemployment, that the OP has spoken so condescendingly and disgustingly about. You can see the hatred in their tone, and then they honestly expect us to believe "We only wanted to help them!"

Please. They wanted to continue to push their agenda which had everything to do with ideology and very little to do with the extremely real and pressing issues that rural America is currently dealing with.

The cool thing is, those people are smart, and they saw right through the "We're only trying to help!" argument. And if they didn't before, little meltdowns like OPs certainly prove it without a doubt.

Anyway, at least now they've realized no one is buying their BS and they can go back to "raising heirloom tomatoes" (funnily enough, that's an activity enjoyed by many of the rural poor- hey, OP, you're not so different after all") and stop pretending to give a crap about those people. Because it was really getting tedious.

I am a ^PP. I give through my church. That won't stop. But I think the point of this OP's post (and others) is that Dems have been trying to implement policies to help the poor. Since a lot of the rural areas have decided they want Trump and the Republican party, they can have at it. See if the republican party will truly help them more.

And I'll repost what I posted earlier -- I have been paying about 30% in taxes for the past 10 yrs. I like to think that this has been helping the country - the poor, our military, etc... Trump has paid very little in taxes to help these people, and neither has his sham of a foundation.

I am actually sick of hearing the people in red states being called uneducated. The entire USA is red, except for the larger cities. Not having a college degree, is not equal to uneducated and I am sure there are plenty of college educated people in the red states. College education gives you a job, that is pretty much it! Why are 18 yrs old's allowed to vote if they are not smart enough to elect a president without a college education? This is America. There shouldn't be uneducated people in this country. Then that is our biggest problem, which has not been fixed but all the "great" presidents we have had so far. Stop calling people uneducated.

I hear you and agree. The poors probably grow the heirloom tomatoes in non-"artisanal," less sophisticated ways or something.

The idea that anyone would say the "raise" tomatoes, rather than "grow" them is too precious for words. Maybe it is for the best if these extra-special elites really do hide out from the rest of society.

AHAHAHA? We did, did we? Dude I 'only' make 120K a year. Guess at the net worth of the man you elected? And his friends. Oh, this is going to be a fun four years. Never did I think the Tea Party would do a 180 and elect a Manhattan billionaire.

To the person who only makes 120K a year -- you live in a bubble if you think this is a small salary. Get out of Wash DC. In the rest of America, that is a very high salary.

Is it? Have you looked at Trump's tax plan? My HHI is $540K. Trump eliminates the AMT and our tax rate will be reduced. I told my husband and he jumped for joy. Thanks TRUMP!!! Oh, for all you middle class suckers, you don't really get a cut. Trump will literally save me thousands of dollars. No, I don't create jobs, but I will enjoy some extra vacations.

I voted for HRC, but now I'll just take my money and let middle america suffer. I don't care.

And? Trump voters still won. You seem to be listing your HHI as if to make yourself feel better that you lost. Take your money and spend it all on handcrafted cat figurines, for all anyone cares. It has zero to do with Trump winning and the Trump voters that put him there.
