| I got 5 different wedding dresses. Spent about $10k total. Still have them all except 1 (gave to friend who wore for her wedding) 10 years later. Only two of them were ivory, two were blue and one was turquoise. |

Wedding was in 1993. Dress was a $300 floor sample from a previous season. Tag was gone but I was told it was a Demetrios.
When Katie Holmes married Tom Cruise (2005 I think?), I was surprised to see how similar her dress was to mine, minus the gobs of tulle sticking out from the neckline. No idea of wedding budget but I'm now a believer in skipping the big shindig! |

Budget was around $20,000 No link but it was a "special occasion" dress from David's bridal. It was ivory, empire waste, beaded toga strap. Had bra pads sewn in and wore nothing under it but underwear. Best decision. |

About 1800 plus a 200 belt added by a separate designer:
