Oh, one of the panty hose, capri pant, Croc brigade has entered the thread. That outfit is perfectly fine. What would NOT be fine is wearing those clunky boots with a pencil skirt. And none of the boots in this thread are pencil skirt appropriate.

Not at all. I hate pantyhose, capris and crocs. I also hate this look and think it's hideous. I will never understood making yourself look stupid for the sake of being "in fashion."

+1. I'm a fashion forward 30-something. This outfit is objectively hideous. If the person was not styled up like a model, and waif thin, you'd shake your head and wonder what the hell this person was wearing.

I wear booties with a pencil skirt all winter. The booties have tall heels (4" I think?) and I wear them with dark color tights to avoid the horizontal line issue.
