Explains a lot, doesn't it?

There is always an exception as OP has so generously proven.

So how exactly are the Republicans looking out for middle America?

There is no middle America left. After 8 years, there are the poor conservatives and the wealthy liberals.

Ugh...you reminded me that the Fourth of July--a bourgeois, jingoistic day if there ever was one--is coming up. Fat people, suntan lotion, and hot dogs. Noooooo....'Murica.

You aren't American if you don't have a weight issue. No other country has as much as food that has as much hidden fat, sugar, and other bad stuff in it as we do!

well for one, they stopped dems from raising taxes on the POOR. you must not recall how hard Pelosi and the rich dem machine on the hill tried that one. and yes, the bush tax cuts go all the way down to income brackets of about 7000/year.

they also tried to stop the dems im-too-poor-to-buy-health-insurance tax penalty. so now, of you cannot afford insurance, you owe addional taxes too. brilliant.

Wait, last election y'all said 50% of Americans pay no taxes at all. Now we find out that people making $7000 a year are paying taxes?

Can you please provide a guide so that we can tell which bullshit is to be believed on which days?

Heres a rate chart http://www.bankrate.com/finance/taxes/tax-brackets.aspx

These are rates on taxable income. Ok so with a standard deduction plus 1 exemption, I figure you have taxable income when earning over about $10,000/year ($5/hr), so not 7,000 my bad.

Same PP - then arguably, up to $14,000/year, you can get the EITC. this is for a single person. but if you make over $14,000/year, you are not only paying taxes, but also the bush tax cuts lower your taxes. the lower rates help everyone, poor, middle Merika, rich, everybody.

You forgot tax credits. When you add in those, often people get back more than they paid in.

Single taxpayers get none when they make over about $14,000/year. thats about $7/hour or minimum wage. no earned income tax credit.

As a matter of fac they are by insisting on allowing countless immigrants into the country to be the factors of production to enrich the wealthy corporations.

I have seen unintelligent people on BOTH sides of the spectrum. And FWIW, it isn't limited to liberals and conservatives. IMO, making a blank statement without supporting evidence isn't too bright (and I am a liberal/progressive). In all honesty, if you can't or won't listen to the facts (and this is true for BOTH liberals and conservatives) you are not evolving and demonstrating your IQ level. This is especially true for those who ignore science (my biggest pet peeve) but I digress...

Do you ever actually look at your tax returns? Look at line 5 of the 1040 EZ. https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040ez--2014.pdf Or line 40 in the 1040 https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040.pdf

One election, these people are all "takers" to the GOP in the 47%. Now suddenly you are their saviors. And you say this with a straight face.

You start a movement about small government and deficit reduction, then four years later that's all out the window as you become the party that breaks the sequester.

You routinely act like you have political ADHD as you pursue attacks on women, blacks, hispanics, and muslims for years at a time, and then at the last minute when you need votes you think you can switch horses and say "it's the economy, stupid".
