Trump: "Our nation stands together in solidarity with the members of Orlando’s LGBT community."

It seems that trump can reach out and get those people to listen.

Maybe he is the uniter?

He may be a uniter. You definitely are an idiot

had the shooter not been identified as an ISIS sympathizer, this tragedy would have been treated very indifferently by Trump.

The right wing is NOT all solidarity this week. Congressional Republicans just blocked a measure that would protect LGBT workers from discrimination.

Exactly my point. This is all about scoring points because terrorism. This is why the hate crime aspect is being downplayed, and why Trump still plans to court the endorsements and support of the Santorum coalition. If this hate crime had been the work of a Christian, the response would have been very different. Using the tragedy to score political points while actually caring nothing about the LGBTQ population and their rights is nauseating.

Wow. You are sick. You are truly sick to think and say such a thing. Talk about being full of hate. I'm a conservative and just recently (after taking the time to listen to some actual Trump videos) a Trump supporter, and I find your comment to be so offensive and insensitive. I don't want to see anyone get hurt or killed. Not gays, lesbians, transgender, liberal or anyone else. I think what happened is terrible. I'm very bothered that so many people got hurt and killed. This shouldn't be a political thing, ok?

So, it's okay if we deny LGBT people equal rights and legal profession ruin from hate crimes and discrimination? You draw the line at executing them?

Drat. Profession ruin = protection.

Trump is not the right - who doesn't know that yet? That being said, how could anyone on either aide not feel incredibly moved and sympathy? How ridiculous to read into words of sympathy. I dont feel that President Obama goes out of his way to support police or the military in carrying out their jobs, and his policies may at times contravene their safety - but I don't dont that his sympathy is genuine when he speaks at a memorial. He is still a human being in the end.

Wtf are you even talking about? As pp stated, you are posting out of desperation. I don't want anyone denied equality and fair treatment. And I haven't met or heard of a single republican that did either.

Trump is a republican. He calls himself a republican. He's running for president as a republican. What makes you say he's not?

Various LGBT rights leaders have indicated clearly and without any hesitation that they know when they're being "courted" by an abusive suitor. Someone who says "I love you" but doesn't actually care about your well-being, who won't go to bat for you, who permits bullying and contempt for you when it suits them.

They very clearly said, "The Republican party has demonstrated they do not care enough about our civil rights and us as humans through the policies they propose, the laws they support. We know when we are invited into a circle of hate. We will have no part of it."

F$ck you, Trump and Republicans. LGBT-and-friends are on to you.

It's not progress. It's opportunism.
Nothing else to be said.

Trump says he is a Republican. That doesn't mean he is the right. What makes you say he is?

Good for the LGBT community for knowing and hearing bullsh!t when you see it. Poor attempt to back track his hatred of Hispanics as the majority of those murdered were Hispanics.
