OP I was you (preschool teacher, nanny) and I have a baby now. It's SO different. I will suggest hiring help for the first few months because you may be more likely to get ppd. My baby was colicky and it was so hard. Sometimes I didn't have lot of sympathy because I was so annoyed with crying after my 7+ years as a preschool teacher and nanny.
