And James Franco directed it. Like a lot of stuff he dies, I can't tell if it's serious or a parody. I'm leaning in the latter direction (hopefully).

Speaking of which, did anyone see the Lifetime parody Lifetime movie with Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell?

No, what was that one called?

Yes someone please tell us. I need to see this masterpiece.

I saw it - it was terrible and baffling bc even though it *had* to be a parody, there was nothing so over the top or sarcastic that it was quite clear if it was a parody - it was just a bad movie! I think there should have been some wink-and-nod dialogue or plot twists to pull off being a successful parody. I'm sure you can imdb the name.

Speaking of movies in the lifetime genre, any 1970s kids remember There's Something About Amelia? I was so taken in by that as a young girl.

THAT was a good one. She was bat--it crazy. Probably still in jail. Some relatives of the Brodericks lived near my parents in Pittsburgh.

I agree with the poster. Lifetime Movies sucketh big time and have for the past 15 years! They are so "over the top" they are stupid. Back in the 90's and early 2000's they were pretty good. For example, the Moment of Truth films were great! "Eye of the Stalker," "Stalking Back," "Road Rage," "The Secret She Carried," "A Child Too Many --- just to name a few. All based on true stories.

Please tell us more about yourself. I don't think I've ever met someone who watches Lifetime movies.

Omg you have. You might not know it, but you have!

I think I saw something that said that movie actually ended her career. She fit the made for tv genre so well, she could not escape (or something like that).

One scene from that movie actually haunts me (where the stupid cop stops the wrong guy and do her abusive husband jumps on her face)

Yessss!!! Also, the true life Cinnamon Brown story and the movie where the wife was murdered by the husband and dumped on the side of the road but the luminol in the bedroom when the husband's parents come to visit. All three of these are mytop movies. Moment of Truth.

I love Lifetime movies in all their cheesy glory. The Michael Jackson movie was pretty good. Sure Michael had a british accent but who cares. It's Lifetime, I'm not expecting an Oscar winning flick. I just want to be entertained. My all time favorite was Death of a Cheerleader. I recently watched the one where a man was living under some lady's bed. Hilariously scary. I call my mom every week and one of our topics of conversation.....did you watch this week's lifetime movie yet.

The last Lifetime movie I saw was called something like Double Daddy where a rich teen boy knocks up both his teenage girlfriend and also another teenager who, if I'm remembering correctly, date raped him. The girl who date raped him to get pregnant did it on purpose and was psycho. She tried to kill the other teen mom and ended up dying or getting caught in the end. In true Lifetime fashion, it ended on a happy note with the Teen Daddy cuddling the baby from the psycho teen mom while sitting on the bed with his girlfriend teen mom and their baby. A++ on that movie... so bad it was good!

this movie tonight, "Mommy is a Murderer" is so dumb! Why are the characters always play dumb detectives?
Karina should have called the Copeland police to report the possible kidnapping of Emily! Arrghh!
I always change the channel when the movie is starting to get dumber...

I love these crappy movies! Anything with psycho ex, I’m in! Great escapism, especially with this damn viral monster. And I am seriously binging on The King of Queens.

Ugh I HATE the sitcoms and reality shows on Lifetime. I watch more LMN but have to agree the acting now is TERRIBLE. Last night I couldn't watch the movies on Lifetime or LMN cause the acting was horrendous. Did anyone watch last night the movie with the teenagers? "Lexi" was the worst actress but no one in the movie could act worth a damn!!

They are my guilty pleasure - so bad they’re good.

The ‘cheerleader’ ones they had on this fall (?) were entertaining. One had Denise Richards in it.

I think they were good on the late 80s and early 90s. Now, ridiculously bad.
