Have you looked at the Oakton school district. On par with Vienna and might be a better price point. I love our neighborhood in that district and my commute to Reston is sweet.

How long is your kids' bus ride to OHS? Seems like it could be pretty long for those houses that are close to FFx cnty pkwy. Like the houses there, but concerned about sending one kid far west to Franklin while sending the other kid far east with OHS. And a straight drive from that area is 18-20 min. to OHS -- must be substantially longer with a bus making many stops along the way. Does it discourage you/your kid from going to the school for events -- when you think of the drive to get there? Our current high school /middle school are just 5 min. away -- literally. I also wonder how safe it is for kids to be driving on Waples Mill -- narrow and curvy with no space on the sides. That area seems great --- but that wide, wide school zone has me concerned.
