It's Lottery Eve!

Anonymous
I have had a crap week and pray that the lottery turns my luck around. I didn't put any of the HRCS at the top because I'm a realist. my daughter was almost last on the Bethune wait list and in the 400s for Lamb. I just need some luck. I hate that I'm chancing the next couple of years on a lottery number. I want to know tonight but already have a migraine, so maybe tomorrow is better.

Not all schools are on Spring Break this week.

I have put the kid to bed, poured a large liquor drink and am now pressing refresh.

So you didn't put any HRCS on at all? If so, you should have put them on top.

If you would like your kids to go to a HRCS, there is no reason not to put them at the top of your list, realist or not. Realist = safety schools at the end of your list.

Goodness, it is down to the wire on both the lottery results AND my big eBay bulk LEGO auction. This much excitement is going to kill me unless I start drinking.

I'm hoping we don't get into our inbounds PK. I love our preschool. But I'd save so much.... We shall see!

In a similar boat (although we're looking just at charters since our IB doesn't have PK3). Our preschool is convenient to my office and aftercare runs late, v. v. important for my work schedule. But we'd save so much, and hoo boy, would it be nice to loosen our belts a notch.

Red wine going here...

You should check out the private school forum around acceptance letter time, then...

If we get lucky we won't have *those* kinds of worries until middle school.
