Have your ever had a drink(s) while working/at work? (telework and alcohol with your lunch included)

Yes--government lawyer. I have occasionally had a glass of wine at lunch at a restaurant with friends. Everyone drinks at the office holiday party (though little work gets done afterwards) and we occasionally have beer at farewell parties that start in the late afternoon. As a summer intern at a law firm, my partner mentor ordered wine whenever we went out for lunch. Maybe lawyers drink more than other fields?

Now, in an international organization, we have drinks on special lunches throughout the year or the occasional morale-boosting happy hour sponsored by senior management. Not much otherwise.

A&P? I wonder if we know each other.

At the IT companies I worked for in the 80's/early 90's, it wasn't unusual to have drinks when we went out to lunch. There was an open bar at the staff meetings for the senior staff and management; it wasn't unusual to see people drinking *a little too much* there.

Of course! At my old (fewer-than-10-employees) office, my coworker and I regularly went out for 2-martini lunches. There was tequila in the kitchen for "meetings." My boss went out drinking after work with every employee (except me) at some point, it seems.

Miss those lunches.
