Yolanda Foster is getting a divorce.

I just watched the first episode of the new season of RHOBH.
I was really disappointed in Lisa Vanderpump for getting bent out of shape that Yolanda didn't wear a stitch of make-up to dinner. I shouldn't be surprised because she's so focused on the appearance of things - but I've always liked her and expected more from her.

This was the wrong crowd for Yolanda to show her vulnerability and assume she would be received warmly despite not presenting in a pretty package.

I don't quite understand why people are doubting her illness but hopefully it will just make them look like a-holes.

It makes the other women look like idiots that they are trying to imply Yo has munchausen by proxy. What nasty bitches. Chronic lymes disease is a thing and those women are too dense.

I'm also suprised by Lisa V's response. Several times over the last year she has shown herself to be petty and vindictive. The woman does hold a grudge. I never liked Adrain M. that much but Lisa was a bitch when she kept calling Adrian's shoes the Maloof Hoof.

THIS! and ken sounded like a real bitch made dude. didn't he take ill about a year or so ago? that pissed me off more than lisa cause he's an old man, who quite frankly often looks like death walking.

Yep, agree. I remember very vividly a scene from Yolanda's first season on RHBH where she was sick (may have been early on with the Lyme disease? Or could have been something else that seemed rather mild at the time). And she said something about not wanting him to have to take care of her, that it was her job to take care of him and make him feel special and loved and sexy. I remember thinking that was totally whacked at the time because it was so clearly all about him and how would that marriage survive if she ever needed him for something more than his money. I think he's a total and complete asshole to leave her now. I realize there is a question about whether she's actually sick but they've only been married 4 years, he is clearly not even trying.

Actually, I think she is going to be the Brooks of Beverly Hills this season. One of the big storylines they are foreshadowing is the other ladies questioning her illness. There's no real consensus in the medical community on whether there is such a thing as chronic lyme disease, which is what she claims to have. I don't think she's faking it, but I have wondered if she's not the victim of some expensive crackpot "remedies" designed to take her money while making her worse.

I do feel sorry for her, but I think she knew from the beginning of her marriage that her husband wanted the sexpot homemaker who could tolerate his long absences, yet fly off at a moment's notice to be by his side. I'm sure it stings to be dropped at the height of need, but I think she saw it coming.

Besides, she'll be fine. This Housewives gig helped launch her daughters and gave her a lot of exposure. There will be some other wealthy guy out there who likes what he sees, or she can coast for a while on her own celebrity. I wouldn't be surprised if she clears up her illness and launches a business in home decor. That's not something her husband would have let her do.

My DH had Lyme disease but he had the classic rash and was diagnosed very fast. This is not the case for most people. My best friend's daughter is in college and got Lyme disease. I don't find anything shocking about Yolanda's path because of have heard this all before from others. I do not doubt that there is long lingering problems from Lyme. Just because the medical profession hasn't created an adequate amount of research on the disease doesn't mean it doesn't exist and people do not suffer from it.

I don't think it was kind or appropriate table convo to state and restate emphatically how awful someone looked, especially a woman, especially without makeup. This made me dislike Ken because he kept harping on it- we get it, Ken, you need to let us know you were appalled at her appearance, thanks.

I'd be worried if I ever got sick if I was Lisa, with that reaction.

you got to this before i did for the PP who didn't see anything wrong w/what ken said. that was not appropriate or nice even if he believed it to be true.

i agree with everything you said about foster. didn't like him and found him insincere from the first time i saw him on this show. there's another train coming for yolanda. she's a lovely enough woman who'll find another rich guy who will hopefully dote on her and love her back because this asshole seems pretty incapable of loving anyone other than himself.

Actually they aren't implying she has Munchausen by Proxy. That would be if she was making someone ELSE sick. If anything she has Munchausen where she makes her own self sick.

I don't really think that's it but I also don't think it's Lyme. I mean first she had Lyme, then Chronic Lyme, now Neurological Lyme AND two of her kids have it supposedly? I think she is very sick, that's clear, but she's spent years and so much money on alternative treatments for Lyme that I wonder if there is a) something else going on that remains undiagnosed or b) the treatments she's seeking are making things worse.

I agree. I also think you guys are forgetting Yolanda's audience. Yolanda lives and plays in Beverly Hills, home of wealth and glamour. DCUM women may have no problem walking around without a stitch of makeup, yoga pants and Nike tennis shoes. But, Beverly Hills women are always gamed in public. I think that's why the women were shocked at Yolanda appearing in pulic without her face, sick or not.
