If you cut off or are estranged from a family member, what was the final straw? Turning point?

Yep, same here. Mine is 19 years from my dad and 2 from my mother (I'm an only child)

I'm the PP directly above. Do any of you still dream about your parents? I still have disturbing dreams even after 19 years.

My MIL says many crazy things. Many of the older generation don't get kids issues these days.
I guess it depends how she said it but I can see how an older person thinks families are over scheduled and focused too much in stuff.
Relating it to ADHD is just uneducated.


Ah, but she says she is an authority to be believed because she took a psychology class at the local community college.
She also accused me of taking drugs and implied I might be abusing DH but I was actually more offended by her slurs against our parenting.
