And also cut off contact with the parent that has offered to host the orgy. They obviously have a reputation for stupidity.

I hope this is a joke, if not, you certainly are.

Any parent who allows this is a damn fool.

No way, no how.

Why don't you try reading the whole thread before leaving obnoxious comments that have nothing of value? Do you have kids or teens? Or just a moral high horse based on nothing factual?

You're clearly a complete moron yourself, since this is a relatively common practice. Go troll threads on CIO or breastfeeding.

Or perhaps overly trusting/naive.

Agree. But still a fool. The kids are laughing at your naiveté behind your back.

No way. And no way you're the only parent saying no. I'd say you don't want your son "supervised" by parents who would allow this, so it scarcely matters if they'd be home.

Sure.. Your kids will never have sex, drink, or smoke pot!

I don't agree with coed sleepovers, but my head is not in the sand.

not sure how you got that I was saying my kids will never do these things. The thread is about a co ed sleep over. I'm listing what would probably go on at such an event.

They may or may not. Not every human does all those things.
I don't have to help them do it.
I don't know why any parent would host such a thing, if anything were to happen ...the liability alone should be a deterrent.

I would let my daughter because

1) I trust her

2) If she wants to sleep around then she will

3) She leaves for college in 2 years.

The crowd is WAY overprotective.

She'll do it in 2 years then

Ok, just to let everyone know that it doesn't HAVE to be a disaster, my parents let me host a couple of parties like this in High School back in the early/mid 90s. The reason was simply because we happened to live about an hour away from my friends and none of the other parents really wanted to drive an hour each way to drop off and pick up their kid in one evening.

The first time around was in 10th grade and I think 2 guys came and about 6 or 7 girls. The biggest problem of the night was when I realized that I hadn't seen a few of my friends for about 20 minutes and after searching found them sitting outside in the middle of the street because they were so amazed that there were no cars around at all (we lived in a very small town an hour away from the city where I went to school). My mom was within earshot for most of the evening. There was no alcohol and no sex and it was still considered a great time just because we had fun and everyone thought it was cool that all of our parents actually allowed us to have a sleepover.

The second party was New Year's Eve during senior year and that time there were probably about 5 or 6 guys and maybe 7 or 8 girls. Again there was no sex and no alcohol and aside from managing to cover the house in confetti that took a LONG time to clean up there were no issues.

I went to an co-ed sleepover in HS and lost my virginity. Don't do it. It is the perfect opportunity for things to happen that would not otherwise.
