| This thread is really depressing. Why are we spending so much time and money making ourselves look like girls? Yuck. |
| Unclench Mom. A hairless mons is not "wildly inappropriate" |
It's truly saddening and I see more and more young girls buying into this, not just in pubic hair removal, but in clothing in makeup. There is absolutely a push for this. I won't even get started on how porn is seen as normal sexual behavior now. Where did we go wrong? We've failed our daughters, and our sons. |
I agree with what most of what you've said, but masturbation is completely normal and healthy for teenagers to do. |

Allow me to clarify, I agree that masturbation is a healthy and normal part of developing sexuality. I however am cautious to include porn in that experience, not because porn is inherently wrong , but because I think early exposure to porn before a person has had the chance to be intimate with a real live human being can prove detrimental. |
| I would teach her how to groom. If she shaves, I would caution her to stay within the bikini line because I when I was young (maybe 16), I shaved too far down my upper thigh and had hair grow back there (where it was not before). I just wanted to be certain everything was smooth as I had a lot of hair. If my mother and I had a better relationship, maybe she would have told me to trim my pubic hair down so that it did not come out of my panties - hence eliminating my perceived need to shave my upper thigh. I ended up having to do Laser Hair Removal to remove the hair there. I think it is great that she is talking to you - so you have a chance to put her on the right path of grooming. You can find out why she feels that she needs to be completely shaven - who is going to see whether or not she has pubic hair? |
