Yes, he does initiate because he likes date night. But, he's not that great at planning them or we get home and are exhausted so it usually doesn't happen. He's always suggesting though.

He doesn't plan them, but that's ok with me. Date nights can be expensive.

Or they can be cheap if you do enough research. You don't have to go to Capital Grille (or something to that effect) every single time.
