sleep throught the night - again

Oh, sorry, PP here. As for "research", both Weissbluth and Ferber talk about the perceived negative effects of CIO. They cite many studies that conclude there are none. ANd, there are lots of adults walking around that are proof positive of that . . . our parents having let us CIO as children.

OP here: my DS overcame the sleep regression with 13 months (started at 8 months) and now sleeps again through the night. we didn't do any sleep training. he was just ready to sleep through the night again.

we did what I can CIO "light", I was never tough enough for the full out version, and around 11.5 months we started sleeping through the night again. I also weaned DD at the same time, don't know if that was just a coincidence or not.

OP -- aahhh, thanks for the update! (and subsequent poster also.) DS is almost at the one year mark and we've had 2 nights in a row of much improved sleep (still 1-2 brief wakings but that is compared to typically 4 wakings from the 7month regression onward). Hoping it is a sign we are turning the corner.
