I agree. Whether it is legal immigration, or illegal immigration, our country needs to be selective as to who comes in. Rigorous screening is needed, not only for intent (why are they wanting to come here?), but for health conditions as well.
WE are the ones who decide who comes in - not the immigrants.

And who is responsible for the lax immigration policy? THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESS. Why do they refuse to come up with an immigration bill? The President has done all that he can with executive orders and has deported more illegals than any other president. Why will the Republicans not act on this?


And the Republican obsession with nailing Hillary Clinton for something - anything - is so transparent and sick. Benghazi is nothing but a sad but common event in a foreign civil war.

Why do we need an immigration bill? We let one million people a year immigrate legally. We don't have an immigration problem, we have a deportation problem.

Actually we do. The ones that get arrested? You don't have to round them up. You CAN deport them = every time.

But given they are coming back multiple times regardless when this is tried, I'd say that we have BOTH a deportation problem AND a border issue.

Not necessarily - because Congress passed a law several years back making it illegal to deport certain categories of illegals without first giving them a hearing before a deportation judge - and there's currently a backlog of 3-5 years on those deportation hearings. The Republican-led Congress has not done a blessed thing to fix that - nor did they honor Obama's request to provide more funding to the Judiciary to add more judges so that the process can be sped up and the backlog cleared - nor did they honor Obama's request for funding for how to deal with the ones in limbo while they are awaiting their hearings. It's a Congressional issue which is in the Republicans' court - but which they have failed to do ANYTHING on.
