Why are all Republicans generally undereducated and/or old?

Anonymous
No one can argue that the majority of the Republican party is old (55+) and the "undereducated" (as no formal education beyond high school). This is a fact.

However I do find it interesting as to why - why the change in just fifty or sixty years?

I'm a new poster, and this highlights pretty much every demographic imaginable in terms of political party.

You coukd say the same thing in reverse about urban poor democratic voters.

I am highly educated and 54. I'm sure I'm 'old' to millenials, but age simply means that I've lived long enough to understand how liberal policies, too much government interference, and the PC police affect our personal freedoms.

If given the choice between free choice and an easy life via government control, I choose freedom every time. When you work for something, you appreciate it that much more.

Right. There really is no middle to the Dem party anymore. Just the rich and the poor. Very odd.

That is untrue. Obama won 60% of people making less than 50,000, 46% of households making 50-90K, and 44% of households making more than 90k.

So basically he is getting around half of the middle and upper income demographics.

Uh, yeah, because only conservatives work for what they have

</sarcasm>

And, "PC police?" Puh-leeze. You might as well make this your avatar:

When you answer with an image and sarcasm, it's not really an intelligent response.

Did I say ONLY conservatives work for what they have? No. That was an assumption you made. Also, not a very intelligent response.

I'm sorry I blew up the 'republicans have no education' theory. Have a beer. You'll feel better.

^^ So, which is it, Liberals?

Is the Republican party really dying off with very few Republicans left - as many on this site have proclaimed?
If so, how do you explain the ratings for the O’Reilly Factor (and the other prime time Fox shows)?
If only the “dying-off Republicans” were viewing Fox, its ratings would not be nearly as high as they are.
So, if Republicans are becoming extinct, then there must be a lot of people from other parties watching Fox.

Or, might it be that the Republican party is not dying off. Perhaps there are more Republicans and right-leaning people out there.

Either the Republican party and right-leaning voters are growing in numbers, or, a variety of people from various political parties is watching Fox.

Or, a third choice....
Maybe people actually enjoy watching Fox because it is the one network that provides all sides of an issue.

I may be an old conservative and undereducated but you'll never see me get a begging gofundme page because I can't find a job like some super educated liberals.

Yes, Dear, all educated liberals have gofundme pages and no undereducated conservative do (that was sarcasm in case you didn't catch it).
