Why are all Republicans generally undereducated and/or old?

The "old" part is actually a big problem in the Republican party - they are losing members every day to death and not replacing them with young members. It is why many historians see the Republican party going the way of the Whigs.

I am an old Liberal and widow. When anyone suggests to fix me up on a date with someone of my own age the first question I ask is, "Is he a Republican?" If the answer is yes, I politely decline. Old + Republican do go together, it seems.

My sister and her hubs have advanced degrees and vote democrat.

They are very poor and despite their years of college, cannot find decent paying jobs.

My sister sneers at my politics, job, and my spouses job, but accepts our help in cash and gifts for their child handily.

Our other sister is married to a welder with a GED that pulls down a crap ton of cash. They are even more mean to him and his stupidity, but that doesn't stop them from taking the help he lavishes upon them because he hates to see their toddler in such crappy and poor conditions.

We buy his clothes, birthday and Christmas gifts, send gift cards for groceries from Walmart. (My liberal sister rails against Walmart, but spends those gift cards, doesn't she?)

Are you serious? We avoid her conversations at all costs. We are afraid if we even mention ONE subject she will rail on forever and withhold help from us for her family.

She and her husband are insufferable, arrogant, and utterly helpless.


She could be a Satan worshipping whore who deals meth for all I care...I just want to help my nephew, and her family.

Very few people from my high school in rural Virginia attended college and all are Republican.
