They resent older women because theh are bitchy, not for their "professional accomplishments." But go ahead and keep believing they're just jelly. |
huh? You're very unclear. Did you pass English 101? Anyway, I'm an older woman with quite a bit of experience in my field. My most recent "supervisor" was half my age. He tried to "guide" the group, but with only 5 years of experience in our field, he just didn't have the skills to move the group. I've since switched jobs and am now working with others my age who are bringing many different skills to the division. We've done more in one month - as a skilled and experienced team - than my former supervisor did in a year. If that sounds bitchy, so be it. I'll take a super bitchy - but EXPERIENCED - supervisor over someone young and naive any old day of the week. jelly? How OLD are you, PP? ridiculous |
You seem to the bitchy person. |
| I'm 34 and I envy the "rising stars" coming up behind me because I was one of them before motherhood and a severe chronic illness derailed me professionally. I look at them and I think wistfully and a little bitterly about what I could have been. But detest them? No, that's silly. Why would I hate anyone else for my own failings or insecurities? |

I don't detest women younger than myself.
At work, some positions were opened up with a new job description which brought an influx of young, cute, perky women. They don't bother me in the slightest. They are adorable and should enjoy themselves while they can. I had my turn. That's just life! It's weird being older. (in my 50's). Interactions are different, and I do think I'm treated differently in general. The weird part is I don't feel old at all! |
| Younger women with vocal fry. Just stop. |
| Boomers please retire and let the technological and more intelligent millennials and xers take over, you have destroyed this country for long enough. |
Oh yeah, here it comes - that tired old effort to label everyone by the generation into which they were born. Lazy thinking, pp. |
