Reserved seats at the cinema. Who else hates it?

Love reserved seating. No more getting early and worry about seats

But with Netflix and redbox going to less movies and when we do go we go To Alamo and have some decent food also. AMC food is disgusting.

When I FINALLY got to the front of the line I discovered why. They forced you to reserve your seat before going in. I was super annoyed and decided I wouldn't be seeing movies there anymore. Well, today we went to the Regal Cinema at Fairfax Towne Center and we were forced to reserve our seats again! I'm not going back.

It's annoying because I prefer to choose my seat when I get there. What if I get stuck sitting beside someone who is doing something really annoying and then I can't switch seats because somebody else already reserved the seat. It's annoying to be put on the spot like that when I'm purchasing my ticket. I wish they would stop doing this. Does anyone know if the cinema at fairfax corner does this? Does anyone know any cinema in fairfax county that doesn't have reserved seating? I will not go to these reserved seating cinemas anymore.

You sound like you are easily annoyed. Do you also have a short temper?

I think some screens at Fairfax Corner does reserved seating, but I haven't been there in years, so it could be the entire theater now.

NP. Um, aren't all the people who love locking down their assigned seats for a simple movie the uptight ones? I don't care one way or another but don't see why OP would seem fussy or like she has a temper because she does NOT care to micromanage her seat before going to a movie. It's just a difference preference.

LOVE reserved seating. No stress about getting to the theater early to get decent seats. We can have dinner nearby and then casually stroll over to the theater 5 minutes ahead of time and our favorite seats are waiting for us no matter how popular the film. We see a lot more movies now that we have the reserved seating option.

In my opinion, iPic theaters already does this. They have two prices, one that have reclining seats and a different price for non-reclining seats which are in the first few rows.

hang on a minute...you chose MY reply as an example of obnoxious and unnecessary? clearly you didn't read the first 3 pages of replies before mine chastising OP.

That said, OP IS the uptight and obnoxious based on how she/he pointed out her "fear" that she might sit next to an annoying person. She's the annoying one here. Add "odd" to her description. So she is uptight, annoying and very odd.
