I wish that people wouldn't rely on Google Translate. |
Dear lady, can you actually read Spanish? Tonto el que lo lea. |
Why yes, I can. Without Google Translate. And the sentences above sound to me like sentences a native Spanish speaker did not write. |
|
Truly only Winston Churchill and Walt Whitman. All the rest are "wannabes"
|
EXACTLY |
I'm in a non W area and I am grateful that my kids don't have the additional pressures that exist at those schools. They are in academically rigorous schools without the additional pressures of wealth, everyone striving to get into an Ivy League school, etc. |
another proof MCPS got a problem... |
Both. Which is why neither of these schools are true W schools |
Lady, you are crazy. (I may be crazy too for engaging you, but my native tongue is Spanish. It seems you have quite a lot to learn) |
| Look folks, it's Churchill and then The Rest of the County. Everyone knows that. |
LOL, I went to Churchill and yes it is a bit snobby but is overall a very good school. Kids genuinely care about college applications, which means a lot of competition for spots at the Ivys. We had nicknames for all the W schools expect Chruchill. |
| I am appalled when people say that the "W" stands for "White". The world is changing and it is shameful that people strive to put their children in elitist bubbles and then raise them to believe that this is desirable in some way. |
You say elitist, I say functioning. I am sorry but kids around here can do the math to realize that not everyone will become a NBA or NFL player let alone a rapper. Best to prepare for elite jobs by living amoung the elite and in elite schools. Sure not everyone makes it but it is a chance. |
Your reference to athletes and rappers smack of a racist point of view. However, living among the "elites" does not guarantee anything but postal code envy from some. Academic excellence does not come from being an elite. It is hard work and brain power. But whatever floats your boat, I guess. |
