Do people question whether I am serious? My son has always been 99.5% in weight and height so of course its not weird if he is bigger than your babies.

Probably because even at that weight - which is a common weight for older kids who are still in diapers - he should still be able to fit in diapers. So people are assuming you are either lying, exaggerating, or don't know how diapers are supposed to fit.

I would try another brand. It may be the brand that is ill-fitting, not the size. Otherwise cloth.

This. I have put my 5 year old in size 6 pull-ups (when he had a stomach bug and didn't always make it to the potty before exploding diarrhea).

OP, Diapers are supposed to be snug. My best friends 1 year old was 30 pounds as well. And he fit in size 5.

I gotta wonder how OP is putting on his diapers. Backwards? Lol it just doesn't make any sense. Size 6 diapers are meant to fit the upper range of kids who haven't potty trained, i.e. 3 year olds. I've never ever seen a 14 month old who had outgrown ALL diapers. That seems so unlikely.

You may want to evaluate his diet.

I made a similar comment and I think it was deleted.

Shit you guys are stil commenting on this thread? Lol so I realized I made a dangerously grave mistake. I had accidentally bought a six a few weeks ago and stashed them in the closest. I keep the night ones in there along with the opened bag I am currently using. After reading this thread and thinking shit man our kid is not fat at all what the eff do we do when he grows out of the sixes? So lo and behold I pull one out last night that he currently uses and see it says size 4!! Thank god.

Ok that makes a lot more sense

Enh, in my experience, the weight ranges are meaningless!! I mean you have to consider height and girth, not just weight.

True but have you ever heard of a barely one year old who was too big for diapers period?

Yes, I have, the OP of this thread's child. Get over yourself, PP. OP is having this issue, just because her child doesn't fit into what you think is normal doesn't mean it's not true. Geez!!

You personally know OP's kid?

There is no 14 month old that is too big for all diapers. OP in her own words wants them bigger than they're intended on her child. She may need to switch brands or deal with not sizing up for nighttime (plenty of people don't!) OP is not having the issue she us claiming to, she is having an issue with finding a solution she likes.

And that just bothers the heck out of you, doesn't it?

That makes wayyyy more sense. My kid was in a 5 at that age (and then he slowed down and continued to be in a 5 until he potty trained.)
