Baby Namess: Hope, Margot, or Camille

I love all 3. Not crazy about the Margot spelling.

Is hope a virtue? Or joy? I suppose many people might consider faith a virtue.

"Hope, along with Faith and Charity, is one of the three theological virtues, first used as a Christian name in the seventeenth century by the Puritans. Hope and Faith have often been given to twins. "

I like Hope. Hope is also Nadia (Ukrainian) or Nadezhda (Russian).

I love Camille.

Margot

Another vote for Margot. We were contemplating Margaret for our first and so also considered Margot. After that I prefer Camille. Hope is my least favorite of the three.

I like Camille.

Margot for the win (please not the French spelling - I think the fact that people on this thread are spelling the french version differently is reason enough to avoid it. Plus, yuck, pretentious.)
Camille, second choice (how do you feel about the nickname Cami? Because people will probably try to call her that)
Hope - don't like this one at all.

I sort of like Hope. I also like Camille but I would always think of Camille Cosby or Camilla Bowles.

I don't like the harsh sound of Margot and plus I would always think of Margot Kidder or Margeaux Hemingway.

I like Margaret or Marguerite better.

All three are nice and sound so great together that I hope OP eventually has 3 girls and gets to use all of them

You have very nice taste in names, I really like all three of thenames you are considering. If I had to choose, I would go with 1. Camille 2. Margot 3. Hope

In that order.

+1 I've never really liked the "ar" sound in a name.

Hope seems really different from Margot or Camille (i.e. not French).

I like Margot but feel that some people might have trouble pronouncing it. I know it's a fairly common name, but I feel like kids or others might sometimes say the T. Or at least that you'd have to make sure to spell it all the time to make sure the T didn't disappear when others wrote it down.

Camille is okay. I'm not sure why, but I don't love it. I guess it depends a lot on how it goes with your last name.

Hope would not be a top choice for me because I feel like it's a little "low brow" (to be honest). Also, all three names make me feel a little like I'm watching a soap opera, but maybe separate from each other I wouldn't have that feeling (?).

Great names! I swear we had all 3 on our list for DD. We went with something else but I don't think you can go wrong with any of those names.
