I think Meri's been miserable ever since Kody married the second wife. She's definitely getting the least out of the situation.

But Meri is the first wife. The rule is that each wife gets treated equally and therefore has a house that is the same size.

That was true years ago, but since the Iraq wars, it isn't as cut and dried and there is a very real threat of being deployed.

National guard is actually deployed overseas? I looked it up after (figuring it was just another way for them to eek out another story line for 45 min.). It's usually state emergency - national disaster or rioting. In the latter case we've seen the President do it (call up the National Guard) for rioting but I've never heard of them ever being sent overseas.

My husband is a Guardsman and definitely went to Afghanistan. 9 months.

Yes, and units were also deployed to Iraq.

True that's not what is SUPPOSED to happen, but it's the reality.

May have already been said, but you are so very wrong. My National Guard son has been deployed THREE times in less than 7 years. Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't know any Guard members who have not.

May have already been said, but you are so very wrong. My National Guard son has been deployed THREE times in less than 7 years. Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't know any Guard members who have not.

To the PP- did you miss the entire Iraq war where national guard was constantly being called up? If you read the profiles of who was killed, they were often people in their 40s-- national guard.

+2. DH is in the National Guard. He and every one of his friends has been deployed, some more than once. One friend is there right now.
