What do you think of the name Ellie?

If I ever have another baby (doubtful) and it's a girl, the name would be Eliana, nn Ellie. Maybe that would go better with Presley than Elle?

What about Eloise?

There's already an Elyse and an Elena in the family so those got nixed.

DH also loves Olive.

Ellie Presley sounds exactly like Elvis Presley.

No, it doesn't. Please note the difference between ElLIE Presley and ElVIS Presley.

I would go with Elise. We have an Ellie and there are no others in her grade (now in middle school). The teachers are always mispronouncing it and saying "E-Lie" so I don't think it's that popular.

I love it! Adorable and also unique. I have a friend who recently named their son Ellis. Which I also love for a boys name. Both are super cute.

My thoughts exactly...

Really popular. Tons of Eleanors, Elizabeths, Ella's, go by Ellie.

Very cute. My DD has a friend "Ellie" and it suits her perfectly.

+1
I also know an Eliana who goes by Ellie.

Don't really care for it. Sounds too cutesy.

Love love love it! Would live to use it ourselves if we have a girl.

I wouldn't have the first name and last name rhyme (the -ly sound)

Ellie is actually really popular right now, which could be good or bad depending on your perspective. My DD actually is named Eleanor and we often call her Ellie - we figured Eleanor is better for resume purposes, and it gives her more options - Ellie, Ella, Nora, El, etc.

it's cute. It's extremely overused. I know many Ellie's. Most, however, have the full name Eliana. I know it's a nickname for Eleanor as well.
