| If I ever have another baby (doubtful) and it's a girl, the name would be Eliana, nn Ellie. Maybe that would go better with Presley than Elle? |
| What about Eloise? |
No, it doesn't. Please note the difference between ElLIE Presley and ElVIS Presley. |
| I would go with Elise. We have an Ellie and there are no others in her grade (now in middle school). The teachers are always mispronouncing it and saying "E-Lie" so I don't think it's that popular. |
| I love it! Adorable and also unique. I have a friend who recently named their son Ellis. Which I also love for a boys name. Both are super cute. |
My thoughts exactly... |
| Really popular. Tons of Eleanors, Elizabeths, Ella's, go by Ellie. |
| Very cute. My DD has a friend "Ellie" and it suits her perfectly. |
+1 I also know an Eliana who goes by Ellie. |
| Don't really care for it. Sounds too cutesy. |
| Love love love it! Would live to use it ourselves if we have a girl. |
| I wouldn't have the first name and last name rhyme (the -ly sound) |
| Ellie is actually really popular right now, which could be good or bad depending on your perspective. My DD actually is named Eleanor and we often call her Ellie - we figured Eleanor is better for resume purposes, and it gives her more options - Ellie, Ella, Nora, El, etc. |
| it's cute. It's extremely overused. I know many Ellie's. Most, however, have the full name Eliana. I know it's a nickname for Eleanor as well. |
+1 Yes. Hugely popular. Ellie, Ellen, Ella, Elle...lots and lots of similar variations |
