Wiccans can absolutely practice privately for a lifetime! Many do, and many like being surrounded by people who share their beliefs when they worship. There is no right or wrong way to practice as long as what you're doing works for you.

So you're a fluffy bunny then. Cute!

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by this. Could you explain it to me, please?

Love this thread! Thanks, OP, for being mature and concise. Very interesting.

This is so interesting, OP. I was not raised religiously in the slightest but now want to learn more about being Wiccan.

Thank you! I figured that people don't want to read long drawn out responses, so I'm whittling everything down to its very basics. I can talk for hours incredibly in depth as well, but I think that any small bit of correct knowledge or correcting misconceptions that I can give people is one fantastic step towards acceptance and tolerance.

One of the great things about earth based religions is its lack of creed. You have the freedom to step away from organized religion and realize that at its very core, everything on this earth is connected and that it needs to be embraced, nurtured, and celebrated.

Hi OP. I'm Wiccan too! I think your thread is great! PP, my name starts with 'E' but nobody knows I'm Wiccan (not even my spouse). I don't think anyone would ever guess. I've been Wiccan since childhood.

OP, how old are you?

OP, I attend a Unity Church...basically a very liberal, progressive, metaphysical approach to Chrisianity. We are very open to the many paths toward spirituality and have a Wiccan and a Tarot group that meet regularly in our church. Many attend our Sunday services. I also have several close friends who are Wiccan and all have felt hurt at one point or another by comments made by those who feel threatened by their practice. I share all that simply to say that I am really glad you started this thread. There is so much misinformation about what people consider alternative spirituality, pagan practice, and the very ancient earth based religions that gave birth to more modern religion.

Blessed Be.

Hello my friend! Please feel free to chime in with your opinions as well; I love hearing things from multiple points of view!

I'm 32.

I (somewhat irregularly) attend a UU church with my family. I wish to allow my children to explore their faith for themselves and believe that the UU church is an amazing place for them to grow up. They're learning about and being exposed to all different religions and I think it's wonderful. They see me practice my spirituality at home and enjoy participating in rituals with me but I will continue to allow them to make their own choices on their beliefs.
