Jesus never said you were not allowed to be against him. I get that. |
You don't have a "right" to your "difference of opinion" when your opinion is that other people shouldn't be allowed to live the way you do or enjoy the same rights that you do. I personally don't care if you approve of my family or not, but I do care if you're attempting to restrict my family's rights so that they're in accordance with your religion. |
| Um. Genetic person? My parents are straight and so are my wife's. Do you understand how genes work? |
Well, they have that right. But those opinions make them bigots. Very simple. |
You are saying gays shouldn't act on their sexuality because they have a choice. Gayness does not go away. Back in the day it just married straight and lived a miserable existence - oh yeah society did that before. It hasn't worked and that's why it's called "progress". People like you are a dying breed. |
Nope. Women who have more children also have more gay children. It's somehow linked to high levels of fertility in women. Also you are assuming that gay men and gay women don't have sex. The parts work. They have lots of kids that they make themselves. |
You may have children who are gay or grandchildren who are gay. You may have other family members who are gay. GLBT people suffer terribly when their families reject them. They are faced with the choice of choosing their parents' approval or forming their adult families in the ways that make sense to their hearts. GLBT kids are a huge part of homeless youth because their families throw them out. GLBT kids commit suicide in high numbers because their parents reject them. The "bitch who hates gay kids" on the other thread is advocating "pray the gay away" therapies which are tremendously damaging for GLBT kids and which have been determined to be extremely unethical by professional psychology organizations. You don't have to support "gay lifestyles," but you shouldn't support the psychological abuse of GLBT kids, either. |
DP, you STFU. I agree, make your arguments on your own merits, but don't triviali the hardships and struggles Black people endured. Race is immutable. Sexual orientation is not, as evidenced how bisexuals can go back and forth. When a black person shows up for a job interview you immediate see their color. When a homosexual shows up for an interview, you don't know or care about their sexual orientation. Make your arguments without diminishing another groups struggles. |
They're not equivalent, but all marginalizations are related. |
Go volunteer and clean up your shitty neighborhoods if you don't like the stigma and get over it already. Sick of black people constantly crying racism and prejudice yet their brothers are on the news and 48 Hours every single day killing themselves on a daily basis over drugs and stupidities. |
Go volunteer and clean up your shitty neighborhoods if you don't like the stigma and get over it already. Sick of black people constantly crying racism and prejudice yet their brothers are on the news and 48 Hours every single day killing themselves on a daily basis over drugs and stupidities. You are countering one illogical argument with another illogical argument. PP's illogical argument that there is no job discrimination against gay people because the employer can't see that they're gay. Your illogical argument is that black people shouldn't complain about racism or prejudice from others because black people do stupid things to themselves. |
I thought George Bush said that. |
What did Jesus say about people being gay? |
Do you "act on" your own sexuality? Your previous posts indicate your have kids, so I'm assuming you have acted on your own sexual desire, no? Would you like to be told that you shouldn't or that something is wrong with you if you did? Aren't you into freedom? America is a free country and all that? Usually you religious nuts are spouting ignorant ideas about your entitlement to freedom, waving guns around, freedom from taxes, etc. etc. Why don't you apply some intelligence and get consistent with your ideals instead of advertising your especially ridiculous brand of hypocrisy? If your kid was gay, would you *really* rather they never experience sexual pleasure than "embarrass" you by being gay? Isn't their life their own? Or does it belong to you? Is that freedom? Why don't you try not acting on your sexuality or identity for the rest of your life. |
| Being gay is nature's way of marking a defective gene pool for extinction |
