My Mom is the most annoying person on Facebook ever

My mom always writes

"bawahaaa" instead of "bwahahahahah"

It drives me insane.

Op here. I should add that she also uses the wall to write very personal notes. P.S. Mom, other people can see this.

NP here. We have the same mother.

When they first started with email, whenever I sent an email, I had to print it up and fax it to them so that they would remember to go on-line to read it (huh?) and then read any follow-ups or responses. Fortunately, we are past that stage now, but everytime we call, I have to check whether she's seen the latest emails from us. Although she wants to get email from us, it's almost easier for us to just call and tell her things over the phone.

Now, they want to Skype with the grandkids which was really want to do, but my mother can never remember how to get things up and running. My wife gets exasperated that my mother calls 10 minutes before bedtime and I have to spend 15-20 minutes helping her get her computer on, Skype running, help her remember her password, get set up, then get the call going. And then she always answers without video and we have to spend another 5 minutes trying to get her to turn the camera on so that the kids can see her, too. All-in-all, when we finish our 10 minute conversation, we're like a half hour after bedtime.

This thread reminds me of this commercial, which killed me the first time I saw it:

My mom threw a fit because I PM'd her and she was convinced that other people could read it.

Back in medieval times, when my mother tentatively suggested she get a Facebook account and keep in touch that way, I flat out told her I would never friend her on FB.

She's annoying enough in person or on the phone, I don't another source of cringe.

My mother wished my DD a happy birthday on facebook and when I told her that she was a day early, she texted me "oops" but on facebook she said "I just wanted to be the first!"

She was a math teacher before she retired, so she liked a math problem image the other day and didn't realize it appeared as "Jane Smith liked "I Like Big C*ck's photo.""

My MIL was posting pictures of pretty plants....marijuana plants. She thought they were some sort of pineapple flower.

These two stories are hilarious.

My mom is also super annoying on FB. She has friended all my friends and likes and comments on all my posts. She also has my son as her profile pic. Not her with my son - just my son.

However she cannot embarrass me because I am an adult. I am friends with other adults who understand that I am not my mother and I am not responsible for her actions. If they are annoyed, they can unfriend or block her - just like I can.

My cousin posted something with the heading FML and my mom calledw to ask what it meant. I did some quick thinking and said " for my ladies " thinking that woiod be the end of it.

She then posted a picture of her group of friends at a HS reunion with the heading FML
