Yup. There was a thread in the Feedback forum on this poster. It's a pity, because I'd love for DS to go to UMD, and I fear my DCUM avatar is going to have to be embarrassed by this over-the-top trolling and rudeness.

Many proud UMD alums have begged the panty-sniffer OP to refrain from touting UMD because it reflects so poorly on the school. Regrettably, umd dude remains undeterred.

I've looked through all the threads and can't find any of the pro UMD facts to be false. I never realized how superior UMD was before. Why would anybody want to "deter" the communication of facts that should be common knowledge ?

How many people are aware that UMD has tons more national championships/Nobel-Pulitzer-Academy Award-Emmy-Fields medal alumni than any ACC school/Hopkins/Georgetown?

How many people know Charlottesville has almost twice the violent crime as College Park?

How many people realize that UNC has won 22 national championships during a 2 decade period of MASSIVE cheating?

How many people know that you cannot even go a day without depending on multiple inventions by UMD alum?


These are things that should be common knowledge.
